Be a Part of Stanford Magazine!

We’re always looking for ideas and submissions from alumni and students. Here are some of the ways you can participate:

Write to Class Notes.

Share your Stanford memories. Do you have an unforgettable teacher? Tell us about him or her in 400 words or less. (Check the list of previously praised teachers first.) View a sample. A great anecdote about your time on the Farm? Write it down and send it in. We’ll publish our favorites in upcoming issues. View a sample.

Do you have a meaningful story from recent travels? Write about it in 300 to 400 words for a new Class Notes feature called Postcard From _____, or contact us to see if we can accommodate a longer essay on the topic.

An essayist at heart? The back page of each issue is reserved for an End Note—a personal essay of exceptional quality. If you have a 650-word essay you’d like us to consider, please submit it. View a sample. Is yours a Student Voice? Those enrolled at Stanford can submit personal essays about campus life or any other topic. View a sample.

Or perhaps you prefer to write fiction. Our annual fiction contest is open to alumni of Stanford undergraduate, graduate and fellowship programs. The winner receives $750, plus publication of the story. The deadline is November 6.

Be true to your school. Did you name your kid Stanford? Does your license plate read ALRITNW? Tell us what you’ve done to show your Cardinal pride, and we may feature it in an upcoming issue.

Tell us about your amazing Stanford friends. Do you know someone we may want to write about? Drop us a line.

Send letters to the editor. Have an opinion about an article in the magazine? Don’t be shy—tell us!
