In its annual survey, the Quad asked seniors to sound off on topics ranging from the sentimental (Describe your Stanford experience in one word.) to the serious (How has the state of the economy led you to alter your postgraduate plans?) to the silly (What fad do you think you will regret most 10 years from now?) Here's a sample of what the Class of '09 had to say:
1. Some students found it impossible to sum up their Stanford experience in a single word, while others found the English language inadequate and resorted to creating their own words. 2. Uncertainty about the future made senior year stressful. Whereas 42 percent of '08 grads cited academics as their top source of anxiety, only 16 percent of oh-niners sweated their grades most. 3. Ugg boots, shutter shades, no-carb diets and Facebook photo indiscretions were trends that many said they'd rather forget.
