When Amy
Brown was picking colleges, she
didn’t have to go far to hear a good word about Stanford.
She is the fifth generation of her family to attend the Farm.
If she persists to graduation three years from now, it will
mark exactly 100 years since her great-great-grandfather
got his degree. “Poor Amy—that’s a lot
to live with. But it makes us happy,” says third generation
Dick Gould, director of tennis. In all, more than 20 family
members have attended Stanford.
