JD ’01, was elected to the Sierra Club’s
national board of directors in April. The election attracted
attention because of a controversial anti-immigrant
platform espoused by some dissident candidates. Ranchod
is the first person of South Asian descent to be named

the show revolves around the relationship between a

Jim Triolo, ’35, won gold medals
in the 100- and 200-meter backstroke at the National
Masters Swimming championships in Indianapolis in April.
His times of 2:10.08 and 4:47.64 set new records for
90-year-olds.
