Leading Matters New York is a unique event that will highlight the best of Stanford today and provide insight into the Stanford of tomorrow. Led by President Hennessy, Leading Matters will showcase the university's finest minds who will lead thought provoking seminars on key issues that face our world.

The goal of Leading Matters is to demonstrate how the university is keenly focused on serving the world through the quality, impact, and vision of its research, and through the new generation of leaders it will produce. You will conclude that when extraordinary people get together, great things happen.

Stanford alumni, parents and friends from New York and the surrounding areas are invited. All Stanford family members, including friends and family, are welcome to the event.

Leading Matters New York costs $95 per person (young alumni discount price of $40 for undergrads ['00 - '09] and grads ['05- '09]). If you register before October 14, 2009, you will receive an early registration discount price of $80 per person (young alumni discount price of $30 for undergrads ['00 - '09] and grads ['05 - '09]).

A portion of the cost of the event is underwritten to encourage the broadest range of attendance for the Stanford family.

Business casual. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

No, seating in each of the presentations is first-come, first-served.

We are happy to extend the young alumni price to your high-school-age children. The events are not recommended for younger children.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a discount for those who can only attend a portion of the event. We hope you are able to join us for all the activities to fully appreciate the experience.

We are pleased to extend the young alumni price to you and one guest. All other guests are welcome to attend at the general admission price.
